On August 22, 2020, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Nikolai Ovsienko held a working meeting at the PRO ARTE Foundation, focused on working with disabled people and making inclusive cultural projects.
Elena Kolovskaya, Director of the PRO ARTE Foundation, presented the PRO ARTE Foundation’s experience of working with visually impaired people, in particular, the project “Special Theater. Theater Laboratory for the Blind and Visually Impaired” and the inclusive performance “Ne Zrya”.
“Blind artists with young directors and actors reach a high professional level, which is an important result of the project,” Nikolai Ovsienko said.
Since 2011, the PRO ARTE Foundation has been actively developing inclusive programs with visually disabled people. Director of the Foundation Elena Kolovskaya is a member of the Working Group on Cultural Engagement for People with Disabilities at the Disability Commission under the President of the Russian Federation.
