Vladlena Gromova will present the VALab Association’s recent projects and discuss the issues of working within an interdisciplinary team, choosing an appropriate methodology and tools for each particular project, and whether an unpredictable result may be considered as a conscious curatorial and artistic strategy.
Vladlena Gromova is an artist and a co-founder of the VALab Association (Moscow, Russia). VALab is a creative association of artists, designers, engineers, and software programmers. Since 2009, VALab has been participating in various art exhibitions and scientific projects including Pangardenia at the Kepler's Gardens — Ars Electronica Festival 2020 (St Petersburg, Russia); The New Anthropology exhibition at the Ivan Pavlov’s Museum, the Pavlov Institute of Physiology in St Petersburg, Russia (2019); ISEA2019 Festival in Gwangju, Republic of Korea (2019). In 2014-2019, VALab’s art works were displayed at the Polytechnic Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions (Moscow, Russia).
