The PRO ARTE Foundation is among the winners of the first Russian Presidential Grants Competition 2021.
Project "NE ZRYA: an inclusive museum laboratory for the blind and visually impaired" will be implemented during 2021 in partnership with the Russian Ethnographic Museum in St Petersburg. Participants of the project — blind adults and young actors and directors will jointly explore the museum's collection — and based on the results of the research, they will prepare a theatrical excursion for museum visitors — both sighted and blind.
NE ZRYA* — is a title for a series of creative projects organized by the PRO ARTE Foundation since 2017. The projects are dedicated to the creative habilitation of blind adults.
*Ne Zrya — is a phrase in Russian having two very different meanings: 'not seeing' and 'not in vain'.
