October 2021

During October, in the museum laboratory NE ZRYA and in the halls of the Russian Ethnographic Museum, preparations were underway for the inclusive excursion-performance "Visible Things":

  • the art director of the play Alexander Mokhov is working on the decorations
  • sound designer Daniil Koronkevich came up with an interactive sound system for the performance
  • the musical director of the project, Alexey Vostrikov, together with Vlad Panyaev, one of the deaf-blind actors, are working on musical accompaniment
  • lighting designer Anatoly Lyapin will present the halls of the museum in unusual lighting, highlighting the exhibits that usually are not noticed by visitors

Rehearsals are underway with theater directors Boris Pavlovich and Dmitry Krestyankin, and very soon – November 6, 2021 – the premiere of the play “Visible Things” will happen!

Supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, the Donors' Forum and the Committee for Culture of St Petersburg.

* 'Ne zrya' is a phrase in Russian having two very different meanings: 'not seeing' and 'not in vain'. This is the title of the PRO ARTE’s project series, that involve participants with visual disabilities.
