What is the difference between an artist's biography and CV, what information these documents include, what is the information order and how long these documents should be, what should be included in the portfolio, how many projects to show in it, what type and layout are appropriate, what is the caption for projects in different media — participants of the School for Young Artists program will discuss these and other questions with the St. Petersburg-based curator Lizaveta Matveeva.
Lizaveta Matveeva is a curator based in St. Petersburg, Russia. In her work, she focuses on creative spaces and incubators, self-organized artist-run initiatives, art residences, and participatory art. Lizaveta Matveeva is a coordinator of the international residence program for artists and curators CEC ArtsLink Back Apartment Residencies. She is also a curator of "I don't know if the Earth is spinning or not ..." digital exhibition as part of the main project of the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (in partnership with Francesca Altamura), a curator of the SAM Fair at the Museum of Street Art in St. Petersburg and a co-curator of the ART PROSPECT International Festival. In 2018-2019, she curated the Start project at the WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow. In 2014-2017, she co-curated the Lyuda artist-run space in St. Petersburg. She was an expert of the Innovation Prize in 2020.
