St. Petersburg-based artist Andrey Rudyev will speak about his creative journey. Andrey will share several of his exhibition projects as examples, and demonstrate ways of interacting with space, talk about an artist’s motivation for work, from discovering ideas to their implementation.
Andrey Rudyev studied at VGIK's Film Directing Department (Moscow), graduated from the Applied Arts Department at the Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Design. Works with paintings, collages, assemblages, objects, installations. Author of thirty personal projects, has taken part in exhibitions and art residences in Russia, Germany, France, Austria, Sweden and other countries. Laureate of the St. Petersburg Government Prize in Culture (2017). Member of the Russian Artists Union since 1994. Currently based in St. Petersburg.
