In her lecture, curator Nastya Skvortsova shares ten tips for young contemporary artists about: art residencies, summer schools and grants, regular Russian and foreign open calls, artist portfolio manual, importance of exhibiting, ability to talk about your art, and experiments with new media.
Nastya Skvortsova is a curator and art historian. She is the Head of the NOVA ART all-Russian contest of projects by young artists, lecturer and educational program coordinator of the State Hermitage Youth Educational Center, and a co-curator of the ART PROSPECT Public Art Festival (St Petersburg, Russia). Winner of the EUNIC grant program for young Russian curators (2013). She graduated from the Art Theory and History Department of the St Petersburg Academy of Arts, Art Criticism Master Program of the St Petersburg State University, and the V-A-C Moscow Summer School for Curators. Lives and works in St Petersburg, Russia.
