I HEAR THE SIEGE

The project presents an audio installation and uses background sounds recorded in 1941-1943 in the besieged city. Archived time is artificially preserved within the present. Original soundtracks from the period of the siege provide a ‘Time Machine’ effect. Living through sound transfers visitors 65 years back in time and makes them participate in the events in the past.
