For the participants of the School for Young Artists program only

On April1, 2020, online courses for the participants of the School for Young Artists program are starting. The first course is led by St Petersburg artist and curator Alina Belishkina and investigates How to Write an Artist Statement. From 1-18 April, young artists will listen to lectures, participate in online discussions and work on practical tasks. Under the guidance of the course curator Alina Belishkina, they will read a lot and learn what artist statement is, and what the difference between an artist statement and a manifesto is, and how to write their own artist statement. 

Alina Belishkina — artist, curator and teacher. Studied on CuMMA (Curating, Managing and Mediating Arts) program at Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland. From 2011-2017 taught at different art institutions of St Petersburg and Moscow. Curated  BBX Crit Sessions 2018, Public program of the Finnish Research Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2017; Under the ground of our times: (de)construction of collectivity in and through collection, Pori Art Museum, Finland, 2017; 4th Moscow Curatorial Summer School (V-A-C), etc.
